Protecting Cultural Heritage: The Death and the not so Secure Life of Ancient Cities
The 9th Conventa was held from 18 to 19 January in Ljubljana. This event welcomed large number of business people from all over Europe. There were more than 400 scheduled meetings in those two days. For the first time ever a group of buyers from USA took part in this event.
We had a great honor and pleasure to respond on our friend’s invitation for participation, and to be a part of this business oriented event to MICE tourism.
Our representatives of congress centers, hotels, tourist organizations and different destinations had opportunity to present their field of work and Serbia as tourist destination to more than 250 perspective buyers. Some presentations were held on the open air, around campfire, which led to numerous creative solutions and aspects of view.
One – on – one meetings were pre – scheduled, and brought new business contact and opportunities to participants.
This, of course, justified travel and exhibit expenses, which are actually much lower than for any similar exhibitions.
As they wanted to position and represent the whole region, organizers prepared study tours for perspective buyers, and one of destinations was Belgrade, and that fact made us very happy and proud.
Good atmosphere, guests from all over the world, specially the fact that friendship with our fellows from Slovenia is even greater than it was, made this event simply unforgettable.
