Belgrade Market – gastronomy, creativity and good mood
If you expected to sleep on January the first – don’t fool yourself! January the first is the best day ever in Belgrade, and you wouldn’t want to miss it for a world! That is the day when everybody is on the streets! Street of Open Heart, manifestation on 1th of January, is festival of joy.
The main event is located in Svetogosrka Street in front of theater Atelje 212, where actors are playing their shows, singing and dancing. But the fun and joy of January the first are spread all through the center of Belgrade and on every corner you will find orchestras, rock bands, clowns and sweets for children, and in front of every pub you can taste free wine and tea. Sometimes it gets very cold, but the atmosphere of sharing happiness and best wishes is warm enough to forget the bad weather.
