The Assessment Tour has started successfully on 16 July 2017! The international team of experts, comprised of a mobility expert (Andreas Friedwagner), a tourism expert (Dejan Veselinov) and the video team (Dušan Šaponja and Dušan Čavić) arrived just in time for the first destination of their journey, Ulm and Neu-Ulm (Germany).
The expert and video team have been traveling along the Danube by using only sustainable means of transport such as bikes, ships, trains and busses. This joint journey provided the possibility to evaluate the opportunities to move to and between the Pearls and to experience the tourism and mobility offers in the destinations by relying on environmentally-friendly means of transport. The team traveled in two parts:
The first part (16 – 26 July) Donaueschingen to Budapest.
The second part was Budapest to Danube Delta.
