Our team was in Germany at the prestigious event which brought together experts and the biggest names in the global tourism scene.
From 7 to 11 March the International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB Berlin, Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) was held. It is the largest and most striking event in the field of tourism, which attracts a large number of the businessmen, top experts, tour operators, hoteliers, tourist organizations and tourists who follow the trends related to travelling.
This World’s Leading Travel Trade Show, traditionally consist of two parts – the business part, only for the professionals in the tourism industry, and the part that was open for all other visitors. We can see how big this fair really is, according to data from 2017. In 26 halls exhibitors from all the continents presented themselves over 160,000 square meters. Last year 10,000 exhibitors from 184 countries took part offering their products and services. The fair was visited by a total of 169,000 people, including 109,000 professional visitors and 28,000 visitors of the conferences. Interestingly in this year the fair was attended by around 5,000 journalists, 1,500 of which were foreign reporters, and 450 travel bloggers. During five days, visitors were able to attend numerous workshops, conferences and presentations in various fields of tourism.
It is a great pleasure to inform you that VTC was in Berlin this year, where, as a popular slogan of the fair said, the supply meets the demand. We had many meetings with representatives of various destinations and media. We were glad to see our old friends, business partners and coworkers.
We came back from this trip full of new impressions, enriched by recently gained knowledge and experiences with agreements on cooperation, new contacts and ideas.
On the website of the Berlin Fair it says – Keep Calm and go to ITB Berlin, and we would add – Keep Calm and for any questions contact us at veselinov@vtc.rs
